Get in touch

We read everything that comes in. Here is what we can and cannot help with, so you get a useful reply rather than a disappointing one.

What we can help with

Corrections. If something on the site is factually wrong, outdated or unclear, tell us. Please include the article title and, if you can, the specific sentence. Corrections are our highest priority.

Topic suggestions. If there is a health question you could not find a straight answer to anywhere, that is exactly what we want to write about.

Feedback on the writing. If an article was confusing, too technical, or skipped the part you actually needed, that is useful to know.

Editorial and permissions enquiries, including requests to quote or reference our work.

Privacy requests relating to your data. See our privacy policy for what we hold.

What we cannot help with

We cannot give personal medical advice. We cannot tell you what your symptoms mean, interpret your test results, suggest a dose, or tell you whether you need to see a doctor. That is not reluctance. Doing it safely requires examining you and knowing your history, which is impossible over email.

If you have a health concern, please speak to a doctor or qualified healthcare professional who can assess you properly.

We cannot recommend specific doctors, hospitals or clinics.

We do not accept guest posts, sponsored articles, paid links or product reviews. Messages offering these will not receive a reply.

If this is an emergency

Do not email us. Contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

Seek emergency care for chest pain or pressure, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or numbness on one side, drooping face or slurred speech, severe bleeding, a seizure, loss of consciousness, a severe allergic reaction, or any fever in a baby under three months.

If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out today to a crisis helpline in your country, a doctor, or someone you trust.

Response times

We aim to reply within five working days. Corrections are usually handled faster.
